Program Description
Overview
Software engineering is an evolving discipline which aims to build and maintain effective and practical high-quality software using engineering methods. Since information technology leads to the rapid development in Internet, cloud computing, big data, and artificial intelligence, there is an increasing demand for talents in this field. Furthermore, School of Software Engineering USTC has been ranked top ten domestically in recent national review and has gained increasingly immense popularity from applicants in China.
Duration: 2 years (1 year for course study+ 1 year for internship and thesis)
Internship Partner Enterprises
We set up internship bases or various cooperation with a list of over 60 IT or IT related companies.
The list includes Intel, IBM, Bosch, Zoom, Huawei, Tencent, Baidu, Alibaba and USTC iFlytek. Nearly one year internship in the company boosts students' confidence in their ability and knowledge for the real industry and equips them with project experiences and employability skills which meet the needs of the enterprises. -

A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.
*2. Scanned copy of passport (ordinary passport with validity of at least one year)
*3. Applicants for programs must provide the photocopy of valid IELTS or TOEFL result or other proof of their English proficiency (except those whose mother tongue is English).
*4. Photocopy of degree certificate for both Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree (if have) notarized by Ministry of Education or equivalent authority in your country
Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.
If applicants are university students, they must provide official documents showing their university student status and the exact time they will obtain their degree certificate;
If applicants already graduated but have not yet obtained the degree certificate, they must provide official documents explaining the reasons and stating clearly when they will obtain the degree certificate.*5. Photocopy of academic transcript for both Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree (if have) notarized by Ministry of Education or equivalent authority in your country
Academic transcript in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.
*6. At least two letters of recommendation from full professors or associate professors (with phone number and email address)

Tips:
For applicants who are in China: If you are an employee, you still need to provide employment separation certificate and your current residence permit.
